Port Macquarie, NSW
Builder: Hunter Mason
The Essential Energy project was conducted with Hunter Mason Constructions at the Essential Energy Head Office in Port Macquarie on the NSW north coast. The project involves the complete refurbishment of the Buller Street Building and the Waugh Street Building, after 10 years of operation.
The project involved creating unique areas for meetings and breakout facilities for the staff engaged on the site on a daily basis.
Given the time period that had elapsed since the last upgrade of the building infrastructure, the electrical back bone of each building was upgraded to include Distribution Boards, Main Switch Board upgrades and Sub Main upgrades. With the upgrades, each floor had electrical circuits, both power and lighting upgraded to the current AS 3000 standard.
The existing structured cabling system was removed, and a new Molex Cat 6 structured cabling system was installed across both the Buller Street Building and the Waugh Street building.
